We are looking for a Project Manager with a zest for life to manage production of our web and mobile applications. The Project Manager is responsible for providing project management and digital development expertise across a portfolio of projects and will join the team at our NYC office.
The Project Manager will work alongside the CTO, the CEO, the VP Marketing and other stakeholders on web and mobile based projects. The ideal candidate is proficient with JIRA and has experience working directly with developers and engineers in a team environment. Someone coming from a publishing/media background is a nice plus but not necessary. An interest in good food is also a plus, the lack of same could be a minus.
Working with our product and marketing teams, you will be actively involved in the development process and will be responsible for producing meticulous project plans. You will work with our team of creative, technical, media and analytics talent coordinating production of our key products.
You will work with various teams within the organization to proactively review progress, identify problems and correct them if necessary. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional production management and quality assurance skills and have the ability to build and motivate teams and assign and monitor work. This individual must thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment and must be a self-starter with strong multi-tasking abilities. In addition, the PM must possess meticulous attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee entire development process ensuring the highest quality of team communications and collaboration.
- Work with product and marketing teams to identify product objectives and define implementation plans.
- Create best practice techniques for managing risks and issues and conflict resolution.
- Lead team to successful execution on various project types including large-scale websites, mobile applications, video production, and social media.
- Oversee project scope and schedule
- Effectively communicate product needs to development team
- Communicate to executive team overall health of assigned development projects
- Development and management of project timelines with adherence to agreed-upon milestones
- Actively promote new ideas and better practices within the company through group and personal initiatives, leveraging applicable subject matter expertise
