Getty Images is looking for a Principal Engineer who wants to lead one of the best engineering teams in the business as part of our Internal Platform team. We are a lean company, data-driven and committed to delivering real customer value. We are interested in finding someone who is smart, dedicated, a quick learner and raises the bar for our team. This role is focused on Scala, Akka, RabbitMq, ElasticSearch, AWS, CoreOS and various other technologies that we use. If you aren’t an expert in these technologies already we’ll help you get up to speed quickly. You love developing elegant solutions to complex problems. You follow the development community on twitter and are passionate about finding ways to improve quality, performance and delivery times. You have a great mix of technical and soft skills which allow you to excel in a highly collaborative, agile work environment. You are a passionate developer who has led in the design, quality, and testing of any development platforms built in Scala or Java. You make strides to learn new languages and tools and look for ways to incorporate them into the team. You are able to level up both senior and junior members of the team. You can partner with the PM organization helping build out visions for the software that you build.
