Author-it has been an industry-leading provider of content authoring tools for more than 16 years. With our focus on SaaS solutions for the Life Sciences content lifecycle, we’re growing by leaps and bounds. But we also know we can do more, better. This is where you come in.
We’re looking for a smart, detail-oriented, and technical Product or Program Manager who will contribute to the next stage of evolving Author-it products and services. You’ll work on projects that span the Product Management and Engineering organizations, including front-end development, platform/API development, and QA, with vendor management opportunities for outsource projects.
As a Technical Product manager, you’ll work closely with functional leads to dive deep and solve both customer pain points and complex SaaS challenges (performance, scale, extensibility, security, and more). Our customer-centric philosophy extends across everything we do, whether you’re defining new UI with the UX Designer or optimizing our web services API with the Software Architect.
There’s interesting and exciting work ahead, and you can be a part of it.

- Work with developers and infrastructure engineers to ensure the security, scalability, and extensibility of all solutions proposed in specifications you create.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Technical Project Managers on project management tasks related to Engineering efforts, including both in-house development and outsourced (vendor) projects.
- Work with the Interaction Designer to validate user experience designs through both ad hoc and formal usability testing, such as “card sort” affinity exercises and A/B testing.
- Identify sources of user/customer data, such as usage metrics and community feedback, and then analyze the data with team members to provide recommendations for improvement to new or existing product behaviors.
