HelloSign is looking for an API Product Manager to own our market-leading eSignature API. This is an ideal role for a business savvy developer or a technical Product Manager. With HelloSign’s focus on creating a world class eSignature API, this role will be pivotal to the company’s success.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Be the owner of our eSignature API and its supporting tools & features.
- Ideate API improvements that address company objectives. Build business cases, pitch ideas, and gain buy-in from stakeholders.
- Be a customer advocate. Work directly with external API consumers to understand needs, gaps, and opportunities.
- Brainstorm and take an API request, discuss with the customer to gather use cases, and define a robust solution around it.
- Establish both short- and long-term goals and roadmap for our API based on data collected from customers, the market, and the competition.
- Communicate across departments to ensure success of your products. Advocate for your products. Make sure stakeholders are excited about, trained on, and aware of launches in order to factor into their own objectives.
- Be data driven. Know how you’re measuring success before starting a project. Obsess over how your features are performing. Know when to commit more resources and when to cut.
- Deliver crisp technical product requirements to engineering.
- Remove obstacles from the path to shipping.
- Good sense for user experience design. While this will be a fairly technical role, you will own several customer facing features that support the API.
- Direct the creation and maintenance of API documentation, guides, and tutorials.
